The story
Jacob hid under his blanket while thunder cracked like drums. Each flash of lightning made him squeeze his eyes shut.
He prayed loudly enough to hear himself,
"God, protect me! You are bigger than the storm!"
He remembered Bible stories about God's care. His body unclenched. The storm still raged, but Jacob felt shielded.
Soon, rain became a steady hush—and sleep found him.
The moral
God is greater than fear.
