The Storm Outside the Window

The story
Thunder rolled across the sky, and Daniel pressed his face to the rainy window. Each flash made him shrink under his blanket.
He remembered what he had learned in Sunday school: God is stronger than any storm.
Daniel prayed,
"Dear God, I'm scared of the thunder. Please protect me and help me feel safe."
He pictured God's arms around him like a warm coat. The storm still rumbled, but Daniel's breathing slowed. Little by little, his eyes grew heavy, and he fell asleep feeling safe.
The moral
God protects us in fear.
