The story
Lily didn't like turning off the lamp. Shadows stretched across her walls, and her imagination filled the corners with worries.
She whispered,
"Dear God, You are light even when I can't see it. Please be with me."
A warm peace settled in her chest—gentle and real. The room was still dark, but Lily wasn't afraid the same way anymore.
She held her stuffed animal close and fell asleep in quiet trust.
