The Quiet Prayer Before Sleep
For Kids and families
The story
It was a calm evening, and little Daniel lay in his bed, staring at the ceiling. The room was quiet, but his mind was full of worries. He had a small test at school the next day, and he was afraid he might not do well.
Daniel turned to his side and looked at the small Bible on his table. He remembered what his mother always said, "Whenever you feel worried, talk to God."
So Daniel closed his eyes and whispered softly,
"Dear God, I feel scared about tomorrow. Please help me do my best and not be afraid."
He stayed quiet for a moment. The room felt peaceful. The ticking clock sounded softer, and the night felt warmer somehow.
Daniel took a deep breath. His worries didn't disappear completely, but they felt lighter—like someone was helping him carry them.
He smiled, pulled his blanket closer, and said,
"Thank You, God, for listening."
Within minutes, Daniel drifted into a peaceful sleep.
The next day, he woke up feeling calm and ready. He did his best—and that was enough.
The moral
When you give your worries to God, He gives you peace.
